The Lambert II25, High-Speed Camera Attachment - has been designed to be used in combination with a high-speed camera with 2/3 inch image sensor. It will increase the sensitivity of the high-speed camera and allow low light level applications. It can be used at frame rates up to 100,000 fps. An integrated relay lens couples the Lambert image intensifier II25 to the camera for optimal flexibility in high-speed imaging. The Lambert Cooled Image Intensifier (LICI) is a special camera attachment in which the complete Image Intensifier is cooled to reduce the noise of the photocathode. The noise reduction factor is at least 100, which means, that in combination with a low noise S20 photocathode, dark count rates below 0.5 cnts/sec/cm2 can be achieved. This makes it possible to acquire extremely faint phenomena which otherwise would have been masked by the noise of the image intensifier. The cooled image intensifier is a so-called hybrid tube. A hybrid tube is a two-stage image intensifier, which consists of a second-generation tube as the first stage and a de-magnifying first generation tube as a second stage. Using the image intensifier as a de-magnifier instead of a lens offers a much more efficient coupling to the camera. The Lambert Image Intensifier II18 is a low light-level attachment for standard B/W cameras. It contains an image intensifier to amplify the incoming light signal and a relay lens to project the output image on the CCD. With a standard second-generation image intensifier the Lambert Image Intensifier II18 increases the sensitivity of the camera with a factor of 50-5000 (adjustable by a potentiometer). The C-mount in- and output allows easy connection to cameras and lenses. The Lambert Image Intensifier II18G is a gated version of the standard Image Intensifier II18. The gating option of the II18G offers the possibility to use the intensifier as an ultra fast Electro-optical shutter with minimum exposure times down to 50 ns. With this gating option the input light range is extended significantly and it offers unique options for time-resolved experiments.

The Lambert Image Intensifier II18G has been designed to be coupled to a standard monochrome video camera with 1/2-inch image sensor (CCD). The unit increases the sensitivity of the camera and enables the detection of images down to a light level of 10-5 lux (using a f/1.4 lens). The Lambert Image Intensifier II18G is equipped with a Generation II Image Intensifier that features bright, high definition images over a wide range of light levels by adjustable gain and gating control. The spectral sensitivity can be matched to the application within the range from 170 to 900 nm.

The high quality relay lens transfers the intensified image to the image sensor of the attached camera very efficiently and without losses in resolution. On both sides of the attachment, a C-mount is provided which enables universal use. Download PDF

The Lambert Image Intensifier I187 is an intensifying unit that has been designed to be coupled to a standard monochrome video camera with 1/2 inch image sensor (CCD). The unit increases the sensitivity of the camera about 75x and enables the detection of images at a light level of 10-4 lux (using a f/1.4 lens).

The I187 is equipped with a Generation I Image Intensifier that features bright, high definition images with low noise characteristics, a constant gain over a wide dynamic range and no danger for burn in. The high quality relay lens transfers the intensified image to the attached camera very efficiently and without losses in resolution. The Lambert Image Intensifier I4013 is a similar product to the I187 but with an input diameter of 40 mm in stead of 18 mm. The input is demagnified by the intensifier to a size that corresponds to a 2/3″ camera format. In combination with such a camera a resolution of 635 TV lines can be obtained. Download PDF
