AichromBond HPLC Columns

AichromBond columns are made in USA using spherical silica of highest purity on the market (total metal <10 ppm). The high quality silica, innovative bonding process and a proprietary packing technique give the column high efficiency, high inertness, long durability, and remarkable column-to-column reproducibility. The uniform, spherical particles have a nominal surface area of 400 m2/g with a controlled pore size of 100Å. The large surface area and high carbon load enable the column to take a larger amount of sample without peak broadening. A higher sample capacity is helpful for enhancing detection sensitivity in analysis and for improving productivity in HPLC purification.

AichromBond-1 C18

The AichromBond-1 C18 column has very high carbon load (22%) and is end-capped. These properties extend the pH range up to 10. The column has good peak shapes for difficult compounds and can be used as a general purpose column for acidic, basic and neutral compounds.

AichromBond-AQ C18

The AichromBond-AQ C18 column has two unique features. One is tolerance to very low pH due to special modification to the bonding. The other feature is using 100% water as mobile phase without loss of retention with time.

In HPLC analysis of peptides and proteins, TFA is often added to mobile phase to achieve good separation. The mobile phase pH can be as low as 1.5. For most C18 columns on the market, such pH can accelerate the breakdown of the C18 bonding to the silica. The AichromBond-AQ C18 column shows very good stability under such conditions.
